a sepia-toned film reel of old western imagery to the intensely emotional
closing track "Uncertain Light," The Valley is an epic
work composed and recorded over the past five years of Nyte's career,
summoning sunrays and thundercloud together in an ingeniously crafted
pictorial. With every track Nyte reveals some of his most profound American
influences; Springsteen's "Nebraska" comes to mind, entwined
with delicate doses of Johnny Cash and Nick Cave.
